Why Do You Love Soccer (fötball)?

At the outset, I want to encourage my readers to visit Wikipedia's excellent article on SOCCER (Association football). This article has some terrific pictures (see bottom left of the article) of soccer in all it various facets. Further, the references alone can provide you with really good resources to dig into this whole sport just about as in-depth as most would want to go.
Loving soccer
Okay, that said, why do you love this game? Really. What is it about playing soccer or watching others play soccer that you enjoy?
Clearly, a plethora individuals thoroughly adore soccer. Otherwise, it would not be the most popular sport in all the world!!! I've asked a bunch of people why they love this sport and I get a bunch of different answers. It really doesn't seem to matter what country I'm in when I as that question. In fact, it doesn't matter the hemisphere either. Soccer or fötball fans, just about all, seem to have some powerfully strong opinions about the game. Do a Google search for "why do you love soccer" and see how many results pop up. Yep, over 52,000,000 most recently! That's freaking amazing.
One guy told me that people in the USA weren't real fans because they called it soccer (LOL). Whatever! You'll read and hear all sorts of answers to the question about why someone loves this sport. It's great exercise, no two goals are ever the same, there are no time-outs (except for injury), it moves fast, a great way to meet people, not expensive equipment...these are just a few of the answers I get over and over about this sport.
Some think that this sport brings peoples of the world together even if countries are competing. What do you think about that? I get the common game and rules thing. But I'm not sure I agree that soccer makes us all one big happy family. I've seen some pretty ugly disputes between opponents during games...both players and fans. Sometimes the fans are worse!
