Biggest Corporations in Connecticut
One of the biggest concerns (besides finding the perfect Connecticut town to live in) is what corporations and types of businesses are in Connecticut and where. Today, we are very much a society of two, working professionals, so when one person has a chance for a great career opportunity in another area they must carefully evaluate the impact on their partner.
Connecticut Magazine has listed the biggest corporations in Connecticut to help you find the perfect new job. As you can see, there is quite a range—everything from personal care products to Insurance.
But there are many lesser know companies that make Connecticut a great place to live and work. Many of these are in the film and entertainment fields. Thanks to great tax breaks offered by our state, many films are now produced either in part or in full right here in Connecticut and incorporate many local landmarks into their films. In addition, many video gaming companies are located in Connecticut also. In addition, Connecticut is home to ESPN ( king of sports media) and the WWE (World Wrestling Federation)
So Govenor Jodi Rell and our Connecticut government officials recognize that we need to bring new business into our state to continue to see it grow and so far they seem to be doing a good job.
